Reason: All other sonic characters, apart from the ones with last names like miles_prower and amy_rose, are tagged as [name]_the_[species]. Kind of weird that Barry isn't.

is there any instance of an official source mentioning the character where "Barry the Quokka" is used in full?

I'm seeing no official sources using the name "Barry the Quokka", but it seems like the Barry name only comes from data mining the game files in the first place.

I'd rather keep it to barry_(sonic) but I think an alias in reverse could be good because "Barry the Quokka" does get some usage online. (e.g. the Fandom wiki, AO3 and Knowledge Graph use the species in the name)
