Common visual bug, the deletions get applied to the number twice (-1 since the post was no longer approved/pending, then -1 for a deletion)
The stat is supposed to show pending/approved posts at the moment, but these bugs happen

Wasn't there an option to refresh the profile statistics? I can't seem to find it anymore.

Edit: Oh yeah, it's in the site map (More ») section. Don't know why I thought it was in Account or your settings page.
