Those only seem to work with the score, not downvotes themselves. A post with 700 downvotes and 100 upvotes will have a lower score than a post with 1000 downvotes and 500 upvotes, -600 vs -500, despite the latter being downvoted more.
While you are correct, there is significant overlap between the lowest scoring posts and the most downvoted. In this case, the top two lowest scoring posts are also the most downvoted.
This used a version of the database from a few months ago, and did not filter deleted posts, so posts like 6268 are included (4th in both rankings). 74 of the posts are shared between the two lists. The current scores are likely to be lower than the ones listed here.

Though the comment section in that post is way more offensive than the post itself.

I find stuff like the sandy cheeks vacuum image is that on here? I actually have never seen the full image to be amusing when used humorously. But it does feel like random content made for a specific adult audience that is considered weird by the mainstream population does get a lot of unwarranted attention sometimes. That being a good or bad thing, idk lol.
