Topic: Someone added 'Overweight' to a bunch of Pictures tagged with 'Chubby'

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

First off, I just find this more annoying than anything else, that's why I make this post.
I personally have overweight blocked, because in my mind, chubby is a step below overweight.
When would there be a need for both tags on a single picture?
Is this more up for debate or is there any validity to anything of this?

This pictures in question where I noticed this happened were by the artist Glopossum.
Bunch of them randomly didn't show up in my search results anymore and then I saw they were blacklisted.

Judging stuff like if someone is overweight is already a rather critical issue in not just tagging pictures.
Can't right now think of other situations, but there's likely similar redundancy around or conflicts of implication.

Wait…have I been viewing this all wrong?
I am thinking there was four levels of 'heaviness': morbidly_obese, obese, overweight, and slightly_chubby.
I thought that slightly_chubby was a middle ground between overweight and "normal", where overweight overrides slightly_chubby, causing slightly_chubby to be invalid if overweight is applied…

You can check the taggin requirements in the wikis for the weight tags (such as Slightly_chubby). Slightly chubby is below overweight and above "normal", and overweight is an umbrella tag containing everything above that weight. It does have 4 levels, and some are exclusive with each other (specifically slightly_chubby with everything else) whilst the others aren't.

That's correct. If you're overweight, you're not "slightly" chubby. You have to be quite chubby to be overweight. A character can't be both "slightly" and "quite" chubby at the same time.

Part of the problem is likely that chubby is aliased to slightly_chubby, and people may be tagging chubby thinking it applies more broadly than slightly_chubby does.
