You know that's like far from the point, right? Do they need to be physically standing on sand for it to be considered part of the beach?

To be considered as doing something on the beach, I'd expect them to be on the beach seaside, yeah, not near the beach. And an open building like that I think should count as outside, not inside (it's even tagged outside_sex). Being a truly enclosed/inside area I think would separate such an area from the beach.

If anything tags like this need standardizing, not being aliased away randomly to one their component parts.

I'd suggest [noun]_sex be the convention. I.E: beach_sex, bed_sex, and table_sex

How common are those instances? A few inapplicable posts here and there won't harm searching, and you have to weigh it against the fact that sex_on_the_beach will be undertagged (that is, some posts of sex on the beach can be found with "sex beach" and not "sex_on_the_beach", causing the latter to be less reliable than the former, even if the former has a few false positives).
