Topic: [APPROVED] An interrobang BUR?!

remove alias interrobang (6416) -> ?! (16)
remove alias !? (1) -> ?! (16)
remove alias ?!? (0) -> ?! (16)
remove alias !?! (0) -> ?! (16)

Reason: Similar aliases have been approved for exclamation points (alias #56583) and question marks (alias #57278) due to technical issues related to symbols in the tags. The interrobang should follow.

While the interrobang is technically its own symbol (‽), combinations of question marks and exclamation points are used to the same effect. Aliasing all forms of this type of punctuation over the name "interrobang" makes the most sense to me.

Follow-up BUR

alias ?! -> interrobang
alias !? -> interrobang
alias ?!? -> interrobang
alias !?! -> interrobang
alias interabang -> interrobang

I thought that interrobang was specifically the single glyph that combined the ? and !, "‽"

Technically yes, but it's often just written as ?! or !? for simplicity (which nowadays can get expanded to any sequential combination of multiple ?s and !s). Interestingly, I notice many Japanese-speaking artists tend to use !?, while English-speaking artists tend to use ?! (completely irrelevant to the BUR, just an interesting factoid).

create alias ?! (16) -> interrobang (6416)
create alias !? (1) -> interrobang (6416)
create alias ?!? (0) -> interrobang (6416)
create alias !?! (0) -> interrobang (6416)
create alias interabang (0) -> interrobang (6416)

Reason: The above follow-up BUR.

I haven't really thought about it before, but the order does convey a slightly different meaning: to me "What?!" reads slightly more like a question and "What!?" reads slightly more like a shout.

The only situation I know of where the difference between "?!" and "!?" matters much is in chess notation:
