Topic: Artists needed for an web comic.

Posted under Art Talk

Just saying but you may want to give out more details regarding the actual setting and story of the comic, you are asking for someone to devote pretty much half of his free time for a comic nobody knows anything about.

And while you are busy with recruiting people you may need to find an editor.

I'd go out on a limb and say that the chances of someone stealing your comic idea is pretty slim, if you are still worried about it, throw up a sketch page or two and maybe a written chapter detailing some characters and post those on FA, IB or wherever you wish, that would cover you against anything that might happen.

And you will need an editor if you plan on people actually being able to read what you write, as your currently displayed grammar is horrible.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that non-profit to you means long work times and no wages...
Good luck on finding your artist, because if there is nothing an artist loves more than starving.
P.S. I'm a musician and there is nothing I hate hearing more than "Hey could you just do this for us because you just love music and being given the ability to share your love with other people is more than enough payment for you"

Yep. Doing something you love is great. Getting paid for it is better.

Pleas note some of us have more than one account you could be looking at some of my art at this very moment, and yes its free, free for all to enjoy. Because I love what I do and I want the world to see it. So this is the last you here from BlueWings but not me.

Dude, I was starting to think that you were some kind of spambot, replying the same thing 3 times... But as NotMeNotYou (NMNY for short) said, you need to say something about your comic. Like, what happens, is it NSFW or not, how many characters, color or just inks, to make sure the artists you get really like doing it and not leaving you midway because of a part they didn't want to draw.

Yeah but people assuming they don't have to pay you for doing service for them, regardless of how much you love it, is worse.

This thread reminds me of certain posts on the ModDB forums.

People announce that they have a GREAT game idea but won't share any details, because they're afraid it might get stolen (which doesn't happen, ever).
They ask people to mail them for more info, and their spelling/grammar is usually atrocious.
