I have a few pics I uploaded a while back and now I have higher quality versions of them. How do I replace them?

Upload them and flag the lower quality versions

1) Upload the higher quality version ("new")
2) Copy the post number of "new" (it's in the left sidebar, under "Statistics --> ID")
3) Go to the lower quality version ("old"), click "Options --> Edit" and put the "new" post number from step 2 in the "Parent Post" field.
4) Flag "old" for deletion, with a reason along the lines of:
Inferior version of post #12345
(where 12345 is the "new" post number from step 2)

Step 3 is necessary because, when a post is deleted, its favorites are automatically transferred to its parent post.
Same for set membership, if the corresponding checkbox has been ticked by the set owner.
