The tag alias #74306 navos -> navos_(wordcaster) is pending approval.
Reason: Almost all posts use the navos tag and some are tagged using navos_(wordcaster), for this reason, I think that aliasing navos to navos_(wordcaster) would make sense.

Tags shouldn't be aliased to suffixed versions (except for _(disambiguation)). If a tag name is unique enough, it doesn't need a suffix. And if it does need a suffix, the bare name is too ambiguous to alias to a specific one and should be disambiguated instead.

Well, then why not flip it?

We don't usually alias suffixed versions to the unsuffixed version. In this scenario i recommend a mass update rather than an alias

Aliases like that are technically fine (while the reverse is generally not), but in this case I do worry about a short and sort of generic-sounding name like this being ambiguous in the future, if it isn’t already.
