Looks like only the first one gets changed to boldface in the preview. Does the system only look for a single @username mention or is that just a formatting thing?

As long as you mention their usernames in the blip, it will still appear in their profile pages.

Hell, even words that match a username act as mentioning them (see here, no blips but there appears what we've said)

Yeah, it gets annoying, because every time someone says "moon" it happens.
Which is a lot
Not even "moon_moon" just "moon" rings it up.

It even works with variations of words, which I find really strange. See here
