Topic: Need Help Editing Tags

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I know the button n stuff, but it's a bit more than that, when I try to edit, they don't have the "species: general: character: copyright:" etc. ANd I'm always having a trouble time with it. I don't know if it's my computer, or what, but I just need help.

I think he is asking for help in how to tag properly, simply telling him to do so won't really help him.

Anyhoot, feel free to send me a PM if ya want to and I'll try and answer your questions.

Once a tag has been set to a certain form with 'general:', 'character:', etc. then the edit functionality doesn't show the tag modifiers, which is what those are.

For example, character:Krystal renders the tag 'Krystal' a character tag, but in edit it just still says 'Krystal' instead of 'character:Krystal'.

Some tags are locked, though, so you can't change their function, and others are just buggy. >_>; For those, just make a forum post about the specific tag and someone will drop by to assist.

You can put general: in front of a tag to make it "normal", can't you?

That's what the 'general:' tag is used for, yes. But again, sometimes it's bugged, or the tag type is locked and an admin needs to do it.
