8 posts does not a reasonable alias make. Retag and ignore.

Just because it's not often used, doesn't mean it's not a reasonable alias. This is to make sure people won't use the tag in the future, it's useless.

Well, normally I would agree, but it's only 8 posts, does not seem like it would be that much of a problem...

So would you rather wait until it turns into a problem or fix it now before it's a problem?

That is if it ever becomes a problem, which seems unlikely imo.

I'd rather ignore it after it gets retagged, because it's not a problem. If people were consistantly abusing the tag and so it saw frequent use and frequent cleanup, then there would be argument for an alias. If it isn't common enough to consider it when tagging consistantly, it can be ignored as a tag and cleaned up every now and then in a few moments' worth of time.

IMO small tags should be aliased anyway. There's always the potential future usage and if it's already been suggested it's not much harder for an admin to accept than delete.

Considering that the admins generally have lives, and a lot of work even without all the aliases, would rather squelch the unneeded aliases that don't really matter, than load them up with a bunch more work.
