Does just looking at pictures of snow make you feel cold? Like from drawn images, to video games, video. ect...From just looking at it makes you feel colder than you actually were a few mins ago?

I know this may seem a bit off topic, but after changing e621's theme to "winter" the images of snow made me get much colder within a few mins of just looking at it...This also seems to effect me when looking at images on this site that have snow in them.

...Does anyone else have this problem? I have it so bad even seeing pixel snow in video games makes me cold >.<

Looking at pictures of cold things and feeling cold is not synesthesia. It's just a mental association you have with snow and the cold. Snow = cold, therefor pictures of snow --> imply cold feeling. Pavlov's dog didn't have synesthesia. He just had an association with a ringing bell and meal time.

Synesthesia is extremely rare. People who have it can "taste" music, or "see" smells. In fact, I actually met someone with synesthesia. He carried earplugs because he said when he was in loud places, he couldn't see clearly.

Well, my bad. It means that I have been in the wrong for a while now.

I always thought that it was a word to describe when tow or more of your senses are stimulated when only one should be (for common situation, like this one). Never looked further into it I must say. Sorry. :D

In regards to the yawning in response to yawning, that's actually your selfish-body response that is seeing someone else taking in large amounts of oxygen and, not wanting to be deprived, intakes extra oxygen as well. It's a personal survival mechanism that rarely has a use.

A slightly more common situation would be when trapped inside a cave without airflow, but yes, basically. Until we both pass out from lack of oxygen and die. Controlling yawning in limited oxygen environments is the number one priority.
