Topic: Happy New Year (question)

Posted under Off Topic

With only 20 or so hours away from it being 2014, I wanted to ask...What do you plan to do tonight on newyears night?

Anyone planning on partying, drinking, or simply banging pot and pans to wake up your neighbors?

I am curious to hear what you all plan to do on this day.

Oh and Happy New Year :V

I drank enough on christmas. But I will have a celebration beer with my parents if I am still awake.

Other then that I'm asleep, watching the forums, playing cheese romance simulation games or playing GTA V.

I'll be awake to see the the new year and not fall asleep till nine in the morning. Though I have been doing that for a few weeks.

Going to buy the first alcohol I can legally buy on my own (Haven't been able to get my birth certificate and photo ID until November and the start of december, after 8 long years of fighting for it), probably some Schofferhofer (Sorry Germans, I don't utilize special characters for umlauts or anything of the sort!) for a drinking beer and some vodka, champagne, or wine for the actual transition over to the new year. Then probably crashing like seven hours after the event, because my circadian cycle is fucked beyond belief. x_x

I'm probably going to play video games, but it'll be dark souls, and the moment it hits midnight I have to stand up and say NEW YEARS! and put down the controller when I do, even if I'm in the middle of a fight and hope I don't die.

Interesting. I might try this.

Make sure you make some tortilla with the masa (unless you just use whole hominy as per original recipe) to enjoy with the pozole, and a hot glass of atole. :)

Whole hominy is where it's at! :)

You may crucify me for this, but I'm a fan of masa, myself. Perhaps because I prefer a smoother texture to my chilis and stews? It's one of the key ingredients for that delicious corn flavour without all the chunky corn bits floating about, hominy or otherwise.

Sp what's everyone's new years resolution? Mine is to spread awareness of http://www.thevenusproject.com and Jacque Fresco's designs. I also must reccomend the documentaries paradise or oblivion, and future by design. Very eye opening.

Happy New Years from everyone at the Bad Dragon/Dragonfruit family!

Here's to 2014!

(lifehack: write the dates for the next few months in pencil. It's a lot easier to erase the year and write the correct one than it would be in pen)

The most epic of dramatic scenes shall unfold. Will they write the correct year? Will they have to crumple up the paper in frustration, and start over?

I don't know if I can handle the suspense.

People have trouble remembering what year it is? I envy them. Would much rather forget the year and remember the monthly date. >.o

I have trouble even remembering the day of the week sometimes.

I can never remember the day of the week it is, the monthly date, or any special dates... even when I see it mentioned somewhere the day before. x_x Really annoying heading to the bank in the middle of -50*C weather only to find it closed and the ATM out of service....

I went to a new wave party, deciding to give human interaction one last shot, only to come to terms with the fact that I'm mentally ill and can't understand or communicate with anyone in the outside world. Furthermore, I've merely drawn life's short stick and no one is responsible - it's not but chance. After realizing all this, I decided to go home, look at porn, and finally make an account on my favorite porn site. I'm still drunk and high by the way.

Who needs beer when you can have pomegranate juice, like I did 4 hours 49 minutes ago?

I like this resolution because it's not a moralizing one like dieting, and is therefore feasible.

Years are like birthdays. Only reasons for celebrating are to remember the year count, and have an excuse to party. The progression of time is typically a bad thing; if I've gleaned anything from skimming Khaled Hosseini's A Thousan Splendid Suns, it's that Afghanistan was a billion times less horrific in the 1950s, or even five centuries ago. Same with most of Africa. South Africa is almost the exception, but for the fact that the commie ANC delivers less services to the poor people of the country, because of sheer incompetence and corruption, than the National Party because of apartheid.

Makes perfect sense to me. New Wave? Tell me about that. Sounds like it would have boring music.
