Topic: Should this have MLP tags?

Yeah, but isn't the FIM tag only for images in the style of FIM?

It's not about the style (otherwise you'd be adding fim to oc's too), the character belongs to/is from fim only, therefore he gets the fim copyright tag just like any other fim character.

Besides, TWYS doesn't apply to character names.

No.
TWYS can be ignored for character names, but only if the character is named in the source, and there is some evidence in the image to support that name.
Which is the case here, but just saying it doesn't apply to character names is asking for misinterpretation.

...they fucking named him bulging biceps, that's literally the most retarded name, What happened to Ragin' 'Roids. Think about it massive muscles, tiny wings...

*Bulk

And what "happened" to Roid Rage is that it was a fan name for a then-unnamed character, a name that many of the show staff had probably never heard of. Then, he was given a decently big role in an episode, as secondary characters go, so the staff thought it proper to name him.

Actually, I covered it already. The tentative Hasbro name for him was "Snowflake". They named him Bulk Biceps as an analog to the fan nickname of Roid Rage, while retaining the PC and child-friendliness of the name.

Alliteration remained as well as emphasis showcasing his muscles.

And yeah, they still got away with the *ahem* 'roid' joke with the tiny wings, but naming him "roid rage" would have most likely incited a soccer mom.

That sounds cool, but is there a source for that?

I think the fact that it's a kid's show had something to do with it.
