Reason:

Same reason why tags like eyes, arms, or head were removed.

There's also some (less than dozen) container-chests under that tag, but those can all be retagged as treasure_chest.

What if it's a container that's a chest, but not a treasure chest?

Chest_(container)? In any case, the chest tag is a lost cause. No matter how often you clean it up, there's hundreds of body parts in it the next time you look.. Probably because many users copy-paste tags from the other sites, despite those sites using the tags differently.

A chest is not a body part but is a container. Also a empty chest is not a treasure chest as it lacks the shiny stuff, so its tagged chest.

I agree with this.

"Trap" was an atrocious mess when I decided to clean it up, and since I think I've only fixed 2, maybe 3 mistagged images.
So before we get rid of potentially good tags, let's try cleaning it up, and see how it works.

Bumping topic because alias is still pending and no admin weigh in. I would rather it be tagged as treasure_chest for the traditional pirate looking chest, regardless of treasure in it or not

As for the alias, approved, no further input needed, but will need the tag to be cleaned before the alias goes through

I decided to stay out of this before, but with you weighing in- I have to agree.

That'll take a while.
I spent much of the day on it, but didn't get far. Still hundreds of images left.

I'll probably get it done by the end of the week.
