after the success of a gender_transformation, i.e. a male gets turned into a female by X means, it would get the transgender tag as it has now the body of a female but keeps the mind of a male (shown in the comic itself), and I remember someone say that it's a state of mind, so I think it would apply there IMO. that's just my opinion though, not to be taken that seriously -.-

In quite a few cases the gender transformation is entire, changing not just their physical form but also altering their mental state to make them more pliable and agreeable to their new state. That comic, for example, is not one which displays transgender mentalities, as the female-turned-male becomes very 'male' in attitude, and her/his boyfriend very quickly gets turned into a submissive 'female' role when s/he grabs the book from him and transforms him. This is the primary reason why transgender as a tag does not work- It relies on mindset, on body language through posture, on attitude (percieved or displayed, and if the latter, not falsely, ie; braggadocio or putting up a brave front as a bluff), and on the viewer's attribution of this information, whether it is appropriately presented in the artist's style or not. This is one of the few situations where I wholeheartedly support TWYS without exception, because it simply causes too much confusion to have a subjective tag for a indset that is not visible beyond interpretations or outside information that may not even be present at source.

Actually, the female got turned into male against her will, she turned the guy into a female out of revenge and fucked her just to get payback for what he did to her, it's even obvious the guy did not want to be gender changed. (Just wanted to point that out, nothing else)

During the process of transformation, it is against their will, but you see the female very quickly changes mindset when the gender-change spell is cast; She becomes much more aggressive and forward, whereas when she was female she was rather meek and complained, but was more apt to just beg for it to be fixed rather than initiate anything in return. Same with the male- he resists until it finishes, then becomes accepting of his new gender and meekly submits to his master once the process is complete.

And this is a great example of what I mean by how it is a subjective tag based upon how the viewer interprets what they see. :)

From what I see, any dickgirl, any cuntboy, any herm, any girly male crossdresser. Since its a mind set people can claim anything is transgender. It was just a bad tag from the start

No. I am saying transgender is a mindset which we do not tag. I only named things people have been adding it to, which has nothing to do with a mindset we are unable to see. I'm still not understanding why it wouldn't be more beneficial to alias it to "intersex" than getting rid of it entirely. If people are searching for "transgender", but what they're actually expecting to find are the types of posts you mentioned (herms, dickgirls, cuntboys), then why not make the tag just do that instead of do nothing?

The argument that it's not something we should be tagging isn't really valid for what I'm talking about. I agree that it's something that shouldn't be tagged, so that's why I'm saying alias it to intersex, which will be infinitely more useful than aliasing it to invalid_tag.

Comics mostly, or other situations where the subject matter is explicitly stated, or just obvious (e.g. seeing scars or surgery).

The tag wasn't over-used, at least when I last checked up on it.
