There are two Reisens in Touhou.

One is the lunar rabbit that is the pet of the Watatsuki sisters.

And the other is Eirin's assistant

...It looks like the 'pet' is the original Reisen and the latter is later in years, all grown up.

Don't worry about it. Reisen's a lesser known character so she's not put in much. Hopefully ZUN will use her more in the games.
