Aliasing waves → wave
Link to alias

Reason:

Unnecessary plural.
I was worried that this might get mistagged frequently, but I've seen exactly one new mistag during the past three months. So I think these can be safely aliased.

This was put up for discussion before, and it was put fort that it be aliased to "water_wave" or the like instead since 'wave' is still ambiguous. What ever happened to that?

What other kinds of waves are there that could make this tag so diverse it doesn't cover a wave anymore?

i'm not saying I'm against it exactly. Just wondered what ever happened with that discussion. I mean, sine waves are waves, ocean waves are waves, someone shaking a blanket is making waves in the fabric, sound waves, etc. so why do water waves get the ambiguous "waves"? *shrug*
