We've known about this for some time. I guess it's just so that they have more content without having to do anything. We made jokes that we'd like, upload a bunch of weird and random stuff, then take it down and make fun of them for having it since it gets put there automatically

I found that they are actually downloading our posts using a bot, but you already knew that. Also, they state that on the bottom of the page on their post listing
