Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as Peekaboo. Just like dragons aren't tagged as reptiles, they're scalies instead, fantasy furry species aren't tagged as mammal. I don't think we have a term for "mammal like mythological races," and I don't think its necessary.

Yeah, Martails are species created by Airu

I'd have to agree here that fake species are not implicated

Thing is that reptiles are something completely different from dragons, so it would be incorrect to tag them as such.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say as well.
And I have no idea about the other species, some seem to make more we see than others, but I guess I kinda wanna do the same for them. Mythological species that look like other races or whatever but aren't necessarially what they seem.

Are these exceptions or violations to that then?
- rattata
- ratonga
I think these two should be unimplicated; or at least implicated to rodent instead of rat.
Rattatas are drawn in various artstyles, I've seen some that look more like chinchillas than rats, etc. And there could be humanized ones.
Ratongas are closer to mice than rats, despite the name. Their sibling species roekillik is more ratlike of the two.

I agree wth Genjar above, and also want to note- These are fake species that are well-known and generally accepted to exist within their franchise with those connections to actual animals. Fake species that someone makes up that isn't widely accepted either through some sort of official publication or widespread adoption (sergals are an example of this done right) shouldn't be tagged.
