I think sexual activity is an accurate term, just not the sex tag itself based on the way we use that tag.

Because it's not sex. It's been defined legally that any penetration of an orifice by another is technically sexual intercourse for the purposes of legislation, sure, but anyone with an ounce of common sense can tell you that it's not sex proper. Masturbating them with a toy, sure, but not sex itself.
