would it be ok to make a "casual chat" type thread? Give people a place to ask off topic questions, or just "shoot the shit" as some would say. Probably would keep plenty of unnecessary threads from being made.

So, the reason that there isn't really an official response to forum games is because admins don't need to put too many rules on what kind of content goes on the forums.

We do have the CoC, and nowhere in there does it mention that you cannot have forum games. It was brought up and discussed, but as long as it doesn't cause problems, we can turn a blind eye to it.

I understand that a small handful of people can ruin forum posts (and have been). All I can say is that I'm sorry.

I want people to enjoy coming here, and have fun while they are. I've been an admin for a few different forums, been an avid user of more, and I understand the need for creative outlets that may not directly pertain to the website's objective.

So here is what I propose: make one or two forum games, and make sure that admins do not need to expend any significant resources monitoring them. If I have to watch a thread for four pages because we are getting complaints that a single user is spamming it with nonsense, it will likely get locked.

For those of you who don't like games: stop going to them. I think I posted once or twice on the previous game threads, but I largely just ignored them. It doesn't help anyone to just complain about them all the time, no one is making you view the threads :)

Comic Crossword

This game starts out with a blank 4x4 grid of comic panels. Each player fills in one of the panels, with the goal of making each 4-panel horizontal and vertical comic sensible and funny. At the end of 16 panels, it begins again with a new board.

Oh, I know! Taking what Dave said in regards to creativity I remembered one in New Grounds (which I got really late) where one drew a red line and for the next post, it continued the line with some more drawings...

There is a video about that, probably you've seen it, but I'll find it anyway.
