Are there some default filters I need to disable to see all content?

It seems like there's a lot less new content recently than I remember and if I search based on score I don't see any images with a rating over 6.

My blacklist from My account->Settings is empty.

yeah, scores were reset in a transition a while back.

yea, same here.
at one point, i saw 10 pages per day.

That's back when the site was still getting "up to date" on images. It's easy to flood e621 with old art from a good artist. This is probably when you were seeing close to 10 pages a day. Once all of the old stuff is on here, you're going to see a steadier flow with mostly new images.
