While not an expert in either of these arts... I would argue that they're not at all the same thing.
Paper craft is the art of printing something out on a heavier (I think?) paper and cutting it out and carefully folding and applying glue to make an exterior shell resembling a thing:
post #106621 and post #48072 are examples of such.
Origami on the other hand... Is the art of 'folding paper' Cutting and gluing is traditionally frowned upon. post #91148 is origami :)
if one wanted to be technical, origami is papercraft, because it is a craft using paper.... but.. really, the two shouldn't be called the other as they are completely not the same. (a more 'furry friendly' comparison may be a dalmation and a wolf... both technically canines...)
If anything, I could see Origami implying papercraft, but no alliases! not that there are enough of either tag...
