I was wondering if I could post photography of people wearing furry apparel (Tails, ears, Etc.) And if it would be allowed on this site. I have tried my hand at drawing and I'm not very good at it so I was wondering if I could step up with photography. I want tO try to contribute SOMETHING to this site!

I'd say the best way to contribute is to simply browse the site as you would normally and simply edit tags and image information when you can.

The primary purpose of this site isn't the creation of artwork, it is the compilation and organization of it. To contribute to it all you have to do is upload art and do some tagging/parenting/pooling/etc. The art could be from you but as far as e621 is concerned it could be from anyone matter who makes it.

as for drawing: Drawing once does not give you an indication of talent. Drawing is a skill you learn. if you want to draw, then draw... and become better at it. all of the artistic 'greats' started somewhere. Very few can put pencil to paper for the first time and come up with something truely amazing.

For photography, I'd suggest trying to make it artistic at least. Make it more exciting then "I am standing with my ears and tail" or "oh look, my paws are up. I am so cute." put something into the photos to make them worth while. :)

Any contribution--uploading your art or someone else's is awesome. Adding and editing tags, everything Kloh0und said is awesome. So don't get discouraged if you don't feel your art or photography skills lack. just keep at it. :)

Why would porn be wrong? I mean, this is still mainly a porn website and the ears/tails/possibly paws would interest the demographic more than the average porn website could provide.

the ones ive seen uploaded before they get deleted are usually so fugly... im too tired to complete that.

If e621 started hosting content that depicted actual people engaged in sexual acts then:

1) The site would have to have some form of proof that the people depicted are of legal age.

2) The site would be legally responsible for ensuring that its users are of legal age to view pornographic material (we'd have one of those "18 years or GTFO" pages every time you enter the site).

The management deems it more trouble than it's worth.

Lol you guys don't have to worry about any porn photos from me! I don't like myself enough to post that much of my body XD I like this site and don't want it to have to change any more than it has to!
