Topic: Body Part tagging

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Just wanted to know the guideline regarding tagging these since I'm absolutely unclear about it.

Example 1: A nude catgirl.
Do I tag everything from eyes to feet?

Example 2: Floating body parts.
Do I tag them as eyes/hands/etc, or disembodied_eyes/disembodied_hands/etc?
Should disembodied parts implicate their proper parts?

Example 3: Big image of many critters all over the place.
Do I tag everything from eyes to feet?

Tag colour hair, colour eyes, breasts, tail, cat_ears, gender, clothing, really anything you can think of. But don't add obvious tags like hands, feet, arms, legs, head etc. If they happen to be missing a body part like an arm or a leg, that should be tagged.

Example 2: Floating body parts.

Tag them as disembodied_(body part). Implicating the disembodied body part to the body part is unnecessary. Unless it's for more, uh, important tags, like genitals.

Example 3: Big image of many critters all over the place.

The more tags, the better, really. But don't add obvious tags.

for things past what Riversyde said, also take a look at how prominent it is, in the image, and, to be blunt about it, if there's an associated fetish...

for example: a gaping maw: post #103163 .... holy this, that maw is gaping. It is clearly worth tagging. I'd also throw tongue and teeth and fangs on there too. Because damn.

Compare to: post #50104 which.. yeah. That "gaping maw" is barely there. Even in the original image. Or post #41628

I don't think either of the last two would be 'interesting' to someone who wants to see... well.. the first picture. or 90% of the rest of the gaping maw tag. :D

Feet/paws are another good body part to keep in mind. Particularly pawpads which aren't tagged often enough, I think.

but past that... we'll assume it has hands, it has legs, and arms... and so forth. :)

if it contains an unusual fetish tag it. also tag things like hair color, eye color, hair length, species (not_furry if it's, well, not furry). if it contains a major color (like everything everywhere is blue) then tag as such. if it contains characters tag em, if they're from a series tag it. if multable series are involved then crossover tag. if you know the artist then tag that too.

If you just have no idea about any further things that can be tagged, but you know there should be more tags you can chuck a "tagme" tag on it.

that's basically all of what you need to know for tagging.

Personally, I always tag the predominant fur color a well (I would list it as white_fur, but white_fur is aliased to white :P) and have been trying to tag things like black_markings and the like... but I suspect I'm alone in such efforts, by and large. :P I also try to tag articles of clothing too. :D at leave vaguely. Pants shirt socks vest.. :p
