Topic: blacklist feature suggestion

Posted under General

would it be possible to make it so that in the event that one should have a long blacklist feature (ex: pokemon, digimon, my_little_pony, macro, female, avian, etc etc.) instead of seeing blank or nearly blank pages, could it be made to actually skip the images and go on to the next ones rather than leaving blank spaces and only showing 1 or 2 images to a page? I ask this because occasionally I bulk blacklist to make it easier to find what I'm searching for when I run out of tag searches, and it's a bit unnerving to see only one or two images per page for 100+ pages.

While this would be nice, currently blacklists work on the front-end, done entirely by the browser with javascript. This has the advantage of requiring exactly zero server load (except loading the blacklisted tags itself), but can't affect anything server-side, such as loading the next page of images.

Maybe if Aurali is bored and has a lot of time to waste she can rewrite the blacklist system to work on the server side, but don't count on it.
