I'm currently working on restoring the link between the different entries in the artists wiki by updating the "other names" field in the main entries(the one corresponding to the artist tag), based on my knowledge and the order in which the entries are sorted.

The purpose is to keep track of the different artists' aliases and to let people search for the proper name under which an artist is known on e621.

For example, let's say you come across this picture : post #33820
The signature reads "Xak", but there is no artist tagged as such.
Searching "xak" in the artist wiki will return "Netherwulf" ; that is only possible because the entry "Netherwulf" was properly updated.
Searching the other way around will however not work in the current system.

Please refer to forum #8427 for more explanations about the previous and current functionning of the aliases in the wiki.

I would however insist on people paying attention when they update an EXISTING entry, as they can possibly mess the order and therefore lose track of the artist's alias.

This is a complicated matter, so i hope my frenglish is understandable...

Addendum : in order to enable searching, an "other name" must be effectively created in the artists list (click on the entry then "Save").
