Surely I can't be the only one getting annoyed by these ponyfags uploading shitloads of ponies without at least having the fucking DECENCY to tag gender! Well here's a message to all those kinds of ponyfags out there: post #54078

The following is a message to all those who hate ponies, love ponies, the userbase in general. If you see anyone uploading ponies without tagging gender, feel free to tell them how things work around here, however many times it is required to drill the idea into their brain, however small it may be.

You ponyfags want to spam ponies all day and night, that's fine by me. But while you are here, you play by our rules, or else you will not be allowed to play with the other kids. Users found to be consistently noncompliant with our rules will be dealt with.

Riversyde it doesn't look like pony pictures not being tagged with gender are in the majority here. I would like to emphasize that ALL pictures need to be tagged with gender if possible.

Not-tagging gender has always been a problem on the site. I think it only seems worse with ponies because we get so many pony pictures, not that people who upload ponies are somehow actually worse at tagging than what we usually see. That's just a guess though, I haven't researched it.

I'm not saying that it hasn't been happening, of course. Riversyde and/or another mod have probably focused on the pony pictures to make sure they're tagged with gender like they should be, which would skew the results of the search I pasted above.

Again, all I want to do is make sure we're focusing on all submissions, and not singling out any of a particular subject matter. We've always had gender-tagging problems (as evidenced by the fact that the thumbnail Riversyde used was for a submission from a year and a half ago).

Ahha. Understandably when River directed it at the pony uploaders, I thought it was directed at me, given that I've been the prime uploader for pony art this is a fair and understandable assumption. But looking over my uploads, its not the case. Hm, guess I'll have to keep a closer eye on the other pony uploaders.

It would be greatly appreciated. :) I think our mods do a great job at keeping things organized, but they still need all the help they can get.

He's got a point. That gets missed, and I see a lot of the time that 'male' gets missed too when Spike or Owloysius are in the picture. Also 'unicorn' and 'pegasus' are ones I end up adding a lot.

It has no gender. People just assume "He"

I'd say male, since Aloysius is a man's name.

The pony uploaders are not bad at tagging, most of them are just lazy fucks who need to be disciplined. All they seem to tag is character names, friendship_is_magic and my_little_pony. Which is nice, but they leave out more helpful tags... like everything else in the picture. This problem has a set group of offenders, not the general community.

The same, of course, can be said about general pictures as well. Though I'd *guess* that most 'cheesecake vixen' images (female fox tagme) get tagged quickly because there are more people willing to tag it in passing.
