Topic: Tag Implication: Nurse uniform -> Nurse

Dunno how to do the links here on the forums, but logically Nurse Uniforms should imply Nurse, or vice versa (though it seems nurse mostly just means "I am wearing at least a nurse-type cap and maybe a doctor's coat, if anything at all).

Other than the fact that you can have a nurse uniform not being worn.

All nurse uniform pictures showcase someone dressed up to be a nurse, whether a sexy-time stripper nurse or a real nurse, doesn't matter. For that matter, a lot of the nurse pictures just have the nurse -cap-, and thus shouldn't be labelled nurse, but rather nurse_cap, but I'm not going to get into a semantilogical argument about this.

That is probably true right now but, as mentioned, it's quite possible to have a uniform without the nurse.

This implication isn't being added, but can we restrict the usage of nurse to someone that is wearing at least a nurse uniform, not just the cap? If they're only wearing the nurse cap, they should not be defined as a nurse, imo.
This also means implicating nurse -> nurse_uniform.
edit: Oh, what do we have here.

Well, it's obviously a nurse... but there's no uniform. hrm.

@Shatori: Yes, while it IS possible for a nurse uniform to be available without a nurse wearing it, JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES. Argh. Anyone tagged nurse uniform (and more than just a few of the Nurse pics that need to be retagged to include it) ARE wearing them. If the picture justifies being retagged, the implication carries over true. I am aware this isn't a definitive, E6 has been up how long? And of all the nurse uniform pictures (be they tagged right or otherwise) are of them being worn. I don't know about you, but that tells me that at least by tagging standards, nurse_uniform = nurse.

@Riversyde: And thus why I stated nurse_uniform implicating Nurse- because not all nurses MUST wear the uniform, but all nurse uniforms imply that the one wearing it or stripping out of it is a nurse- be it a stripper type or a medical type.

As for the majority of nurse pictures being just nurse caps, are we going to specialize and make a nurse_cap tag, or remove nurse from them, or what?

It makes more sense to allow for exceptions, since it's really only a few extra key strokes to add the nurse tag manually.

-1 on this.

When I'm wearing my nurse's uniform, that doesn't mean I'm a trained nurse or acting in a medical caregiving capacity. End of story as far as I'm concerned.

Backstory doesn't count for anything when tagging a picture.

And that is exactly my point. Tag what you see, not what you know. if you look like a nurse, you are a nurse, by those standards.

We can add nurse, and uniform. Nurse uniform should be aliased to nurse. They're wearing a nurse uniform, so they must be a nurse, according to "tag what you see". If someone does decide to post a picture of a nurse uniform, but no-one is wearing it, we can deal with fixing the alias then. For now, this is the best solution imo.
Nurse and uniform should not be merged into one tag.
If you are looking for a nurse in uniform, you can search nurse uniform.

Wasn't asking that nurse and uniform be merged, or nurse and nurse uniform; Merely for an implication that when nurse uniform is used, it implies nurse. If there's no other issues and it's motion carried, feel free to lock the thread.
