Really? I don't see how this could be useful.

I do, but it would only be useful if things that had text were tagged such. If you're searching for a picture, you might want to put in -text, rather than having to do -english_text and -japanese_text, especially for us standard members who only get to use four tags.

In my experience, though, the text tags are used even less frequently than the "comic" or "black_and_white" tags on images they should be on. I think it's probably ok for comics to not be tagged with it, because rarely do you have a "silent comic." However, one-off pictures should ]i]always[/i] be tagged with text if they have it.
