Alright, seeing Celestia gain Modship has made me realize I should be doing more around here too. But honestly, I find it hard to keep up with you guys. Everything I see that needs fixing gets patched up before I can lift a finger!

But try I must. I do have a privileged account after all. Time to start earning it.

Have a look at http://www.e621.net/forum/show/18467?page=2 . Those are some tagging projects that's currently going on. Uploading artwork (of course asking for permission first) is always good.

Uploading was never my thing. I hardly save pictures as is, so I would first have to get into that habit. But tagging I can do!

... Hmmm. I don't think I should start on such a large project. It feels like it'll be very hard to get into.
I'll start small and tweak recent upload tags... Is that acceptable?

thats what i do, i also have a personal goal to read the first thrity pages of comments every day to sniff out any "barbados" type users

Reporting any rule violation is a BIG help

but pretty much in a nutshell Luna, helping with tags, finding barbados, and reporting any rule violations are some of the main ways you can help

i dont know much about it either, so all i do is just edit the friendship_is_magic part of the wiki

Here's a good way to get started in the Wiki, though. Snow's been working on making tag groups, in the wiki, and the one with piercings tags is pretty recent. However, almost none of the tags in the group have their own wiki page. Admittedly, most of them are self-explanatory, but looking at the tags within the various groups can give you a good beginning point for making wiki entries.

Luna: Wiki isn't hard at all. Just write a few sentences about a tag you know just enough about to be able to tell someone what it is :) be able to name a few related ideas/tags, and things that might be 'confused' with it, if needed.

tag group:index has the other tag groups currently created, and there are so many more possibilities :) species, colors, sex acts, etc..

But, as far as tagging projects go, there are always some simpler ones other then the REALLY big tag projects... like, for example, going through the tagme tag and tagging thing :) Oooor... running around and tagging fur/hair/eye colors on pictures. :)

Well that's good to know. I wasn't sure if I needed to site any sources or any of that. But I've started a couple of the piercing pages, and I'll probably get to the rest tomorrow! If you'd like to help, I'm not very good with linking the pages together... So if you'd like to, you could put in links back to the group, or other related pages.

Phew. This is turning out to be a full time job! Tagging pictures, reporting weirdos, editing wikis! Heck, I'm even looking at possibly starting an upload folder.

Now if you'll excuse me... it's 2:30 AM and I haven't slept in an actual bed for a couple nights. I'll get to some more work in the afternoon tomorrow.

if the confusion is actually *making* the links... use make them as such: ((blue_hair)) only replacing the ( and ) with [ and ] :) ... and that will link to the wiki page for that tag. if for whatever reason you want to link to the search page instead, use { and } instead.

let's see... starting a line with a * will put a bullet point there :D two *'s will indent the bullet points, and so forth...

also, typing "h4." at the state of a line will make it a "headline" and in a slightly larger font--just be sure to include an empyy line between it and any content:
