At first I rolled my eyes at SimperinFool's post, but then I linked 20pc to several bronies I knew, and was surprised to get several people who mentioned exactly this. Mostly surprised cause I thought like 99% of Internet Users have adblocker now. I had blocked Bad-Dragon ads a while ago since I'm a regular customer and thus don't need to be reminded about their site, and it doesn't hurt Varka since the ads aren't pay per impression obviously with Varka owning e621.

The people did comment that at least the ads weren't explicit like on e621, but the ads did cause people to go "wut" for the first minute or two of browsing. Just a thought, but is there any particular reason you cannot get more traditional google ads or something since 20pc doesn't have the content issues that e621 has which prevented you from using traditional ads? I'm not sure there is the same market for Bad-Dragon toys on a pony themed booru as there is on a furry themed booru.

I know darling. Ho hum, reading through new documentation on 20pc like the insane person that I am. Finding rule changes from e621, and all that good stuff. Then to start uploading like a boss. The 10 upload limit is going to be annoying since for once I actually have content to upload. Oh well, the limit goes up fast enough.

Bad Dragon is paying all of the bills right now on 20pc, which means they get all the advertising they want. I know it's kind of a clash of interests, but we can eventually get ads replaced with more MLP related ads once we get people actually interested in advertising on 20pc. So unless we've got someone willing to fork over our hosting cost each month, the BD ads are going to stay. :x

There's not too much clearly defined in regards to rules and documentation yet. I'm actually working on that right now. buuut, I think I might have ab it of help for that uploading problem of yours :)

Well I think 20pc is a pleasant change and the bronies can get e621 a break and the bronies can go. Given ponies were SO popular that and bugged everyone so much they warranted their own branch of the website.

Well I've noticed that bronies have a very high occurrence of asexuality, which is probably where the stink comes from. Explicit and Questionable pictures are hidden by default on 20pc, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm glad this is being pointed out. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate MLP stuff, nor do I hate the show, it just doesn't do anything for me, and I'm sure, others as well. The whole issue I find is that...y'know...it really -is- like a plague the way it's spread. There used to be a lot more variety in new posts, but everyday, I'll check them, and ~80% will all be MLP stuff specifically. Some might ask, why don't I just blacklist it? Well, simple. It's because, as I said, I don't -hate- it, and there -have- been good submissions related to MLP, just as there have been submissions for every other show or fandom out there, but...good lords, for there to be -this- much? I've seen the show, and yeah, it's cute, but to explode in popularity like this? It boggles my mind. Hopefully this new site will help to...er..."dilute" newer submissions of most of the MLP stuff, because, as I've said, blacklist doesn't have an option for "can you get rid of some of this, but not all?" It's like the new posts being flooded with...Foster's Home stuff, for example. Some is alright, but a flood is just...too much.

The sites share a few staff members, but not all of them by far. In any regard, this jsut means that they/we're pulling double duty, using a piece of software that is WAY superior to any of the other booru softwares out there.
