Topic: A wonderful tag of "9/11"

Posted under General

I am most conflicted with the semi-sorta-recent arrival of a few pictures, about two or three all under the 9/11 theme.

Now, as opposed to just bitching about it (See : well, their comment sections and their downvoted comments), I just wanted to ask - When did Esix start approving obvious trolling?

Subnote :
My favorite part is a comment of our lovely Celestia (No, not sarcasm) warning people to cease LupineAssassin drama.

On a picture of the Twin Towers.
It's like something produced by Salvador Dali, if he wrote instead of painted.

...I'm mostly saddened by a lack of, how you say, lobsterbanning.

Weird. I, literally, just came back from the Salvador Dalí Museum and Gallery in Tampa Fl. about an hour ago. XD

Meh, it's an art archive. Art isn't always tasteful.

Lucky. I'd kill to go there.

Also, use your blacklist if you don't like it. That's what it's there for.

Personally, I just don't understand it. Yes, 9/11 was a thing. It happened. I understand people finding it painful and not wanting to see it mocked. What I don't understand (not that it offends me) is why it's being played for laughs.

I know e6 isn't furry-exclusive, but I don't understand what those particular pics contribute here.

Oh well. *shrugs*

No, actually, I'm not. I see you complaining about pictures uploaded. That's blacklist material.

Well, the one that's generated a lot of the recent drama was furry related.

How is this any different from all the MLP hate that we had (and probably still continue to have)?

the thought never occurred to me to search for 9/11 pics till now. i was expecting "obvious trolling" as you said, but found some to be quite humorous, and none offended me whatsoever. if people get offended that easily, they should follow blazikens advice and just blacklist.

Plain and simple folks. If we start removing content over one event, just because people find it "Distasteful" we start down a slippery sloap. These things do NOT break our Uploading Rules, or the Terms of Service. If we take them down purely on "offensiveness" Half this sites content would need to be pulled for being "Offensive."

Long story short: It's not going anywhere until it breaks our rules.

Only half?

I know, we would have to remove everything.
Cause everything's offensive to someone.

Including removing everything. Some days there's just no winning.

You should stop making me offended or else I'll write a whiny livejounal and incessantly post on every site I go to about how offended I am.

Then stop being so offended about everything. You're a Blaziken, not a Torchic. About time you started acting like one.
P.S. The fact you have a livejournal offends me, delete it immediately or I shall also baw on livejournal about how much livejournal offends me.

The point missed from the initial comment: "When did Esix start approving obvious trolling?"

Picture content can be ignored. This was the real question :P

Since at least December 2008 (post #21924)

I didn't see that much non-furry related 9/11 art. As long as it's furry then how tasteless it may be is a non-issue from a policy perspective on this site.

Also

WTF is this? A tool to remove the rectum? Wouldn't that just foul the meat?

Anyway, while I was disturbed by some of the recent 9/11 material, I'm sure it's no more offensive to Muslims as the portrayals of M*hamed.

Someone drew furry gore porn based on this tool, but unfortunately, I can't find it anymore. Maybe the nice people on gurochan still have the pic.

Yep. Furries, man.

Why is this still going on? Why hasn't it been locked? There's nothing to even discuss. If the images are approved, they're approved. If you don't want to see it, don't look at it.

This thread is pretty much over now. We all know that some people bitch like children, and some people can handle shit like adults. The childishness shouldn't be yielded to. Thread done.

Heh people coming in after the discussion was over for 2 days to toss insults. Cute =3

Could have fooled me. It was subtle.

Also, locking it would keep the bumanger from resurfacing from the pits of the forums in about three months due to dumbass necroposters.

God, I almost had to Google bumanger.
It mightn't be a dumbass user who wants to post later, could be a user with a valued opinion.
Let's just see what happens.
