Topic: I have a question about a post an admin deleted.

Posted under General

A certain "Skeeter" deleted my post because it was "irrelevant tot eh site". Last I check, the rules said nothing was irrelevant... Just because it's not furry doesn't mean it's not allowed. How is this irrelevant?

Things which are non-furry are deleted or approved at the administrator's/mods discretion, and unless it's something really awesome non-furry posts are generally discouraged. As e6 was originally intended to be a furry image repository, and that furry emphasis is what sets us apart from say danbooru or a similar site.

How ironic, as there is a lot of shitty non-furry things that get past...

Although not exclusively a furry site, furry is the general theme. Most of the human art that stays only sticks around because it's of exceptional quality or based off videogame characters. A few human pics are okay, but we don't want this place to turn into another hentai dump site.
That's the way I look at it, anyway.

This one was based off a movie. DISNEY, nonetheless. They keep the Jesus porn but boot this off? And besides, who doesn't like some good old gay disney porn?

Exactly this. If you post something off topic it's depending on which admin sees it and if they like it determining if it gets approved. If not, well, hard luck Charlie.

Best bet, when this happens, is to PM the admin who kicked it. I PM'd DragonRanger about an image he deleted for being paysite material that was available freely on the artist's own page, telling him such things and linking him to said site, and bam, picture's back.

If you have a problem with an image removed, PM the admin to find out precisely why, and logically (and calmly) bring up why you think it should be reinstated. Airing dirty laundry on the forums never looks good.

As far as I know, non-furry is allowed, but only if there are furry characters in the picture. As long as there are furries, it is still on-topic. But if there's nothing furry about the picture it's probably off-topic and it would be removed. While e6 is not a furry-only site, a picture that only involves humans would be non-furry.
But remember, this is just my guess. I may be wrong.

someone please delete this shit since we are talking about non-furry uploads.
This is nothing but a photo edit of a real image.

Adding 'deleteme' is tag vandalism, bro. Flag it, with a correct reason. Do shit the right way instead of vandalizing tags and bawling in forums.

This doesn't always work however.

I had posted three TES4: Oblivion screen caps, completely relevant, and completely deleted. I asked Skeeter to undelete them as I put A LOT of work into the mods I had made and screencapped. He undeleted them. Not but less than an hour later they were re-deleted by Riversyde (I think). I asked him through PM to undelete them as well, but got no response back.

So, yeah, even that doesn't always work. But keep trying until one of them says no.

I was going to comment here, but, as I can clearly see, everything has already been said and done.

Sorry your upload wasn't approved, but you shouldn't take it personal or anything. Just learn from your mistakes, move on, and post something a little more topic-relevant next time.

[Edit] Of course, I'll be a little more lenient if you calmly come and ask me about it first.

That's why I said "Best bet, when this happens, etc.," rather than "This always works 100% money back guaranteed." A quiet message is ALWAYS more appreciated than "I don't like what so and so did" out on the public forums.
