The above links don't have any males in them. Disembodied dicks are not males. Tentacles are not males. BANANAS are DEFINITELY not males...Jeez, learn to tag properly, the site's own description of the male tag backs me up:

Disembodied penises are males. Also, what's the point of making a forum topic about this? Whatever happened to just fixing it and moving on? And it seems you made no attempt to fix it yourself, so I guess I'll do that for you.

But Tentacles and Bananas are indisputably genderless. I can kinda see Lacez's logic on the disembodied penises; in a lot of cases one can pass them off as dildos(unless Cum is present or if there are hands, etc also showing from the male). But yeah, I've always been a bit confused on tagging disembodied penises as male, too, since they could also be herm or dickgirl, etc.

Still, it irritates me to no end when Tentacles get tagged male. It kinda screws up the purpose of making a tag search for "Tentacles male".

That's the problem, in cases like the banana one, I've tried to edit the tags and it just doesn't delete the male tags.

Also, disembodied penises are NOT males, they are disembodied penises...body parts do not have genders...that's another thing, it's always a "tag what you see case" and I'm tired of searching "male solo" and getting a bunch of pictures with female characters and disembodied penises where I have to edit the tags and sometimes can't...

It kept adding the male tag on the banana picture because it was tagged with straight, which automatically adds female and male tags. Same for tentacles.

Tentacles shouldn't be tagged as straight, just female/male solo. Female + disembodied dicks = male female straight. That is the current ruling. Not saying it will never be changed, but that's how it is right now.

Tentacle + furry = solo

What? Someone care to explain to me when this happened? The tentacle is a separate entity to the furry. Therefore, it is not solo.

Are you kidding me? Would you really tag this post #177312
and this
post #177002
as not solo? The tentacles are pretty much treated as sex toys, just things to stick in the victim.
Now this
post #174382
and this

obviously wouldn't be solo, as there are clearly sentient beings attached to them. 9 times out of ten, tentacle pics are pretty much pinups with penetration and/or faux blowjobs.

You don't think tentacles count as entities? Would you tag a pic with a girl and a disembodied penis as solo? Probably not. Same rule applies here.
(Why was that humanized Pinkie Pie pic not deleted? Fixin' that now...)

No, because the penis actually belongs to someone, tentacles are just...there. They (usually) aren't "part" of someone, they're just...tentacles. Maybe they're from a plant or coming out of the ground or something.

Ugh, no you wouldnt tag a disembodied_penis pic solo; it's basically a dude with 95% of his body not showing, it's still part of the male. Tentacles are different. There's usually nothing implying that they belong to another being, or are even self-aware/sentient. They're just wiggly wet orifice stuffers, *most of the time*. What if they're vines coming out of a tree? Is the tree another character? Tentacles lack sufficient traits to qualify them as characters of their own.

Updated by anonymous

Any tree that has raping tentacles coming out of it ain't no regular tree. But yeah, I see your point.

I thought the solo tag only meant "1 character", not "1 entity"? If I see someone sitting on a hill and some birds are flying overhead, I wouldn't not tag it solo just because of the birds. Same with tentacles, unless they're attached to an animal that is a major enough part of the image to be considered as a character.

The solo tag is helpful for tentacle images.

"Solo Female Tentacles" for example, will show only women -with- tentacles or women -being- tentacled. However, simply Female Tentacles carries a much broader range of possibilities. It could be a female with tentacles raping a guy with them, or a herm raping a female with independent tentacles, etc. Sure, we could add -male and -intersex to circumvent this, but why use four tags when you can use three?

Solo+Tentacles is an efficient tagging method. As it is, unless the tentacles are themselves a character or part of the character, it generally just seems more efficient to keep the tagging as-is.

Only worthwhile argument in favor of tagging them solo, in my opinion. A disembodied penis is arguably the same thing as a tentacle. It's a phallic object to fill a hole.

My guess would be that these are all tagged "straight" and/or a similar tag that automatically adds the "male" tag.

I believe it does, actually. If memory serves, it implies both male and female. Another reason that straight/gay/lesbian generally shouldn't be added to most tentacle pics.
