I recently noticed that we have a virgin tag on this site and it occurred to me that it's pretty useless. Also, based off of the "tag what you see" rule, it's almost impossible to tag (with a few exceptions where dialogue makes it clear) properly. So I guess basically my point is why does it still exist as a tag?

Then deflowering might be a more accurate tag.

Also, in certain contexts vaginal hemorrhaging can be interpreted as gore, not necessarily as the loss of virginity.

See, that's what I was thinking, virgin doesn't serve a purpose, but deflowering sort of implies virgin... Quite a quandary we have here, quite a quandary indeed.

I think both tags can be kept in the cases of comics or other images where it is explicit that one or more characters depicted are virgins, and instead just removed from images where it simply seems like there's a virgin involved.
