Topic: Vinci & Arty characters?

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Wondering which should be the correct tags for the main characters of Vinci & Arty webcomic.

For the Arty/Artisan character there's 2 tags:
a1) arty_(vinci_&_arty) tag : http://e621.net/post/index?tags=arty_%28vinci_%26_arty%29
a2) artisan_(character) : http://e621.net/post/index?tags=artisan_%28character%29

I prefer arty_(vinci_&_arty) tag because looks like there are various characters referred to as arty.
Artonis has dragon character he refers to as Arty (tagged as "arty" at e621)
There are other characters referred to as Arty
http://www.furaffinity.net/search/@keywords%20arty

and
v1) vinci_(character) : http://e621.net/post/index?tags=vinci_%28character%29
v2) vinci_(vinci_&_arty) http://e621.net/post/index?tags=vinci_%28vinci_%26_arty%29

If the characters names are Vinci, and Arty, respectively. Then the tags should be Vincy_Character, and Arty_Character

You mean vincy_(character) and arty_(character) of course.

Yes, that. Do that like a good toaster.

I'm fine with vincy_(character) tag,
but I'd prefer to avoid arty_(character) tag because there's various characters named arty.

"vinci_(vinci_&_arty)" is an extremely awkward tag. it needs an abbreviation like _(mlp)

So just get more specific in your tagging Arty_(Character) Species

Both Vinci images now tagged with vinci_(character).

So tag of arty_(yumar_character) ?

(Or would arty_(yumar) or arty_(webcomic_character) be better?)

Other such character tags go with either character_(artist_name), character_(copyright_holder), or character_(work_name). Wouldn't arty_(candy_dewalt), arty_(vincy_&_arty), or arty_(v&a) work best?

_(character) seems like the default tag suffix for characters with names that have other meanings. If there are multiple characters with the same name then you go to a _([series name]) suffix. If the character is in that scenario but doesn't belong to a particular series then you use a _([artist name]) suffix.

At least that's what I do.
