Topic: Tag Implication: improper_parenting -> unprofessional_behavior

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I don't see how you can be an 'unprofessional' parent. Besides which they're totally different kinks.

I think we should alias them both to invalid_tag.

Reason: they're both retarded, pointless tags that add bloat to an already overly bloated tag system.

Your face mom latest bowel movement was retarded/pointless/bloated.
We don't have to alias every tag like this to invalid tag. That'd cause cluttering of the alias listing.
It's not a hateful, offensive or derogatory tag, so why can't it stay?

The tag system is there to facilitate easy searching, not for adding tags that people think are funny. It just clogs up the system

And honestly, who's going to search for either of those tags? We should be making the system more efficient, not knowingly bloating it with stupid tags.

umad bro?

I don't think it's funny. I think they're good tags.

No, they're pretty much the opposite of good. They're bad and pointless, and you should feel bad for suggesting that they be aliased to anything other than invalid_tag.

Reducing the number of tags makes the system less effective not moreso. And why should we be taking the tagging system so seriously anyway, cheap humor is one of the baser pleasures in life just like porno is.

Dude, calm down. Maybe you should feel bad for even saying something that absurd.

I disagree with the implication though, simply because it implies a standard on parenting, unlike the other jobs, which actually have written standards.

Agreed. They're separate kinks, and should remain separate for the sake of blacklisting or searches.

It's a tongue-in-cheek expression that surrogates for a "parent-child_incest" tag. You aren't supposed to take it seriously.

Sure, we could use parent-child_incest, but improper_parenting is more fun. There are a bunch of precedents supporting the use of informal tags:

what
i'm_so_gay_i_shit_rainbows
nightmare_fuel
death_by_snoo_snoo
...

Sure, tags should generally stay as formal and as technical as possible. But a few informal ones give the site some character.

Exactly. Even after the informalities it still serves a constructive function in the tag system.

Why don't you just use that blacklist you are always going on about :)

I have to agree with keeping them as they are, some tags are acceptible to combine, but these seem to imply differences in the art piece that dont coincide with each other at all... Unless you have a picture of a child care specialist or babysitter, comparing unprofessional behavior to improper parenting is like comparing a sports car to a tooth brush and probably best to keep them separate.

After all, brushing teeth with a twin turbo v6 doesnt seem appealing

They are not to be combined. Parenting is not a profession. And they should not be invalidated, as they are, in fact, useful. I don't always want to see a cop getting too frisky (har har), but when I do, I tend to like to see it along with teachers, businessmen, or others doing the dirty in uniform/office. Improper_parenting...is a little silly. I think if anything, it should be expanded. Placed on more images. Not just ones where there is parent/child incest, but where something is going on that shouldn't, the parent is aware, and either not hindering or actually aiding it. I dunno if there are such, but it seems like there would be.

Right now the tag is only used to describe explicit images. It definitely has a few non-sexual applications, as well.

Blacklists are for hiding posts you don't want to see. Kclub has never said that he doesn't want to see the images tagged with those tags (and indeed, if he didn't want to see such images, it would be better to leave the tags so blacklisting would work). He just doesn't think that they're useful tags.

I fully agree on the first one. But Rarity is not Sweetie_Belle's mom, so...but she is taking the role of parent-figure, so...I dunno. lol. I guess it works. For the third...eh, Derpy is only guilty of flying poorly.

I disagree with the tag implication but hope that 'unprofessional_behavior' is here to stay. It is a tag I've used in the past to look things up and is a distinct kink of its own.

Updated by anonymous

We're not getting rid of unprofessional_behavior. I disagree with the alias; I don't feel like parent-on-child incest (which is pretty much all the improper_parenting tag is used for) has anything to do with professionalism. Let's keep these two separate.
