Topic: Tag Discussion & alias : Checkered v.s. chequered

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Do we have a consensus about which tag to use?

American:checkered
British:: chequered

The prevalent one so far is checkered
(the latter has 0 posts)

Also for consideration is check_(pattern) as an umbrella term for all the uses,including:

checkered_floor
checkered_tongue

Also,is there a tag for checkered_background?

Depending on the decision made,an alias of either

checkered -> chequered or
chequered -> checkered could be made,which should probably include the other tags as well

If chequered has no posts so far, then I'd say an alias isn't needed. If this were a constant issue, I could see it, but it's clear there aren't hundreds of people interchanging the tags on a daily basis.

Fix it as it occurs, imo.

It would appear that we do have a consensus!

Well, everything here seems to have sorted itself out, I guess?
