Topic: Coppertone advertisement-like images: pool or coppertone_parody tag?

Posted under General

Pool: harder to search, but includes the original coppertone advertisement

Tag: easier to search, but coppertone original images should rightfully not be included, meaning that image itself isn't linked with it's bretherin. Not to mention parody or style tags isn't exactly proper tagging unless someone wants to start tagging _style tags on all the different styles...

(note: using coppertone + parody isn't proper tagging because coppertone tag is already used where there's actual mention or image) of coppertone itself)

Which is preferred?

There's only like one image as far as I can see, what's the point? Even if not so, if we parody something (for example: fear_and_loathing_in_las_vegas) we don't use 'parody' we just use the title. I mean if you're interested in something you're just going to search the title not the title and 'parody' so it's like, if you do that noones ever going to see them. I don't see the big problem with coppertone being included in the search in its own parodies (indeed that way you can see what the parody is supposed to be of because I had no idea until I just searched it).

Oh I see the pool now, I think that's just confusing, most themic collections especially ones by totally different artists we don't pool, why should we with this, using the 'coppertone' tag on all of them would be much easier.

Because coppertone refers to the product, not the style.

It's still a theme. Though we do have pools like the "All about ass," and "Texture Fondness." Admittedly they're not updated regularly, but we have them.
