From what I can tell beast, zoo and bestiality mean roughly the same thing.
I put in a tag alias request between two of them a while back, but it got denied.
I think these tags should be reconsidered and defined.
Also, zoo shouldn't be used as it conflicts with an actual zoo (see http://e621.net/post/show/20308)

Okay, sorta. I'd say keep "zoo" because it's the most widespread term in that community even it's an abbreviation. But expand it to "zoophilia" for every post. Likewise "zoo" (place) -> "zoological_gardens". We tend to use in-group terms here, so "cub" not "paedophilia". "furry", not "skunkfucker". Probably it'd be "bdsm" rather than "bondage" if we'd'vve caught it earlier.
"beast" is sometimes short for "beastiality", a common misspelling. It also conflicts with the name one of the main characters in beauty and the beast, and mean any animal too. So that's twice as ambiguous as "zoo".
Furry tagging. Serious business.
