Topic: Kemonomimi

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I strongly suggest that Kemonomimi should be used instead of animal_ears.

Not only is it confusing to people who do not know what animal_ears means (animal-like ears?) it also leads to more trouble when attempting to use the equivalent of *mimi (nekomimi, okamimimi, etc) in the animal_ears format (cat_ears, wolf_ears, etc) which would lead to even greater misuse.

Furthermore, most furries are more familiar with the term kemonomimi than animal_ears.

Please fix this problem.

Umm, what?

I have never heard that term in my life and I seriously doubt anyone not into Anime has either. Animal_ears makes perfect sense, and I'm sure 99.9% of the people who read that tag get what it means as well.

Kitsu~, with tags the main idea is to be simplistic and use terms mostly everyone is fimiliar with. There is no need to use anatomically accurate terms and the sake of losing simplicity.

IE.
pussy -> vagina
vulva -> vagina
cunt -> vagina

It may not be accurate but it's for the sake of simplicity and the searcher will most likely get what they desire. With tags it's not about accuracy but just simplicity. In theory, alot more people will search 'animal_ears' rather than 'Kemononomimi'.

Just simplicity :P I type too much.

Probably vulva should be distinct from vagina again. But they don't let *me* edit the alias system, whine, gripe. Also I don't even know how to spell Kemonomnomnomini and I'm secretly a bit impressed when other people can.

Be nice if they were equivalent for searching though, though perhaps with some weighting towards what you actually typed.

Personally I don't even tag breasts/penises/vaginas unless it's a really major facet to the picture. To me it's sort of implicit in male or female furs having sex or posing nude or {pants,top}less. Tag overkill is overkill sometimes.
