Topic: My Only Real Complaint...

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I am going to assume everyone has finished high school, and you have a college degree, and you are either majoring in university or you have a well-paying job with little or no stress problems.

Now that we have understood each other, I don't like how this site seems to be slowly turning into a plain image board rather than a furry one. I have read the rules and frankly, I do not care. I come here to browse furry artwork, NOT this crappy animufag/hentaiwebsite/real life japanese chicks wearing half-assed fursuits bullshit. This has got to stop.

Just let us enforce proper tagging, please? When I put "human" on my blacklist, I don't want to see humans. Is that so much to fucking ask? No. I don't think it is. Thank you.

Eh, unofficially, probably 80+% of e621's userbase is underaged. There just isn't a whole lot any of the mods can do about it, unless the person comes out and says they are under 18. And that's pretty much true for the most porn sites.

...

Fursuits and human women with ears/tails, whether you like it or not, is still furry. You can whine about it all you want, try and nitpick over it, but at the end of the day, it's anthropomorphism, and nothing is going to change that.

Looking at the front page right now, I see quite a few human characters, which is what I assume ticked you off. But I also notice that, for example, some are herms which have horse tails and horse cocks. Anthropomorphism.

The only ones you have a real argument to stand on are non-anthro humans, such as the 6 pictures of Samus Aran that were uploaded about 30 minutes ago.

And frankly, non-anthro humans are uploaded so rarely, that most people don't give a damn, especially if the quality is good.

...

On a side note, in addition to blacklisting "human" you might want to also blacklist "animal ears" which is the tag used for standard catgirls and related stuff that you do not want to see.

TAG YOUR FUCKING POSTS... sorry

I believe that people can tag images later, but you should tag them right after your batch upload (rule_34 on all solo samus aran wallpapers? what's wrong with you?)

It sometimes really pisses me off

And... same about character sex. My 10-years old mind can't handle all that intersex stuff and I've blacklisted it, but still people are not tagging it sometimes.

...ok, Fluffytiger tagged all his samus aran pictures and I feel sorry now xD

You're welcome. Here is he wiki page on "Animal Ears"

http://e621.net/wiki/show?nordirect=1&title=animal_ears

It basically says the same thing I said. But just so you know I'm not just making bullshit up.

I have some tagging complaints too.

Some images have tags that are absolutely redundant. For example, a post featuring Digimon's Renamon should have the appropriate tags "digimon" and "renamon". There is no need for the tags "canine" and "fox"; Renamon is her own individual character and species, and should not be grouped with real species.

And also there's an issue with extra tagging. There's a "gender_swap" tag and a "cross_gender" tag, but they both mean the same thing. Both should instead be filtered together as one tag, "genderswap". I haven't looked, but I'm sure there's more issues like this.

Anybody else's thoughts?

Over-tagging is ok. Still inaccurate tags can be removed or some people just place "invalid_tag"
