Every couple of weeks, some noob, or even older users go off an remove ALL the tags on a post and replace them with tag me, sometimes not even that...
What do they think this accomplishes other than getting themselves into trouble?

whats your thoughts on this, cuz i have noooo idea why they do this, just seems like sheer stupidity to me..

oh, if they don't know what they're doing they're pretty darn stupid.

My response: the banhammer! yes...at the very least give them a negative record as a warning...but this is something they should be aware is wrong...I would ban them for a certain amount of time outright.

My opinion? Permaban. No chance of getting it removed. You knew what you were doing, now reap the reward.

"tagme" is added automatically by the system whenever there are no other tags present. I imagine it's done most by people who don't like the image, don't like the artist, or who are just dumb. Sometimes it's done by the artist when they don't want the art there and they don't know that we're perfectly willing to remove the images, if they'd just ask. There are a lot of reasons.

Tag vandalism is almost always a ban, by the way. You can browse the user record listings to see for yourself.

The only time I have ever put "tagme" in was when there were so few tags and I knew nothing about what I was looking at. I fixed what I could and let it go. If it comes back around when I'm doing my weekly tagme search then I'll try again but I think someone who knows more about the style and subject would be of more use to it.
