This may or may not be an issue but I believe the moderators should change the field that denotes the user posting an image so the poster would only be known to the user who posted the image and admin/mods. This would stop users being individually targeted by other users about what they post and would rate the image itself and not have their decision be influenced by who posted it. Also, users searching by username that are not their own would be disabled, except for admin/mods. I have not personally been targeted, but I know of some who have.

EDIT: Adding an option for the poster to leave out their username so only themselves and admin/mods can see who posted it would be fine too.

Maybe I'm just naive, but isn't it possible that users' uploads are being voted down because of the pics rather than the person who uploaded them?

i think this is a bad idea. one good use of knowing who posted what, is that it gives you an idea of who that person is. also without knowing who posted what, one could troll more easily. one could cuss out another for liking (i.e.) nazi art, when they themselves upload a lot more nazi art. also, i rarely even look at the score.

(nazi is just the first thing to come to mind.)

I never even paid attention to them. They seem to have zero correlation to quality of the image, and thus are meaningless.

According to what the guy said, they would be. Admins would be able to see who posted what, and could take action if needed.

Not that I care either way, I almost never look at who posts what, just the art. But I would not be surprised if there were some personal grudges going on against specific people, and I know how furries get when they're butthurt about shit.

If you choose to upload an image to the site, I see no reason why you should need to hide that fact from the public - you are doing nothing wrong (unless of course you upload bannable material) and if you are being harassed as a result of it by site users, you should let us know.

Harassment does NOT include someone voting your images down or refusing to shower the image with mindless praise, mind you. People can voice their dislike of an image in a reasonable fashion or vote an image down if they don't like it for any reason - that's why the features are there in the first place.

Baracudaboy uploaded a large number of images of scat, babyfur, guro, and other questionable fetishes.

He was also egotistical enough to believe that his images were being downrated, not because the majority of people dislike that content, and don't want to see it; but rather because he thought people didn't like him.

Personally, I specifically don't like him now, just for him being so vain.

The scoring system probably shouldn't even exist as far as I'm concerned. It's a pretty pointless feature.

But because of those pictures, people (apparently) started voting down his posts that had nothing to do with any weird fetish. (Whether those posts were quality or not, I don't know.) I don't really care where my (or anyone else's) posts end up on the scoreboard, but I'd hope that they're all voted for/commented on with good intentions and not '[username] posted that i must flame it'
And like I said at the start, "This may or may not be an issue". I ain't saying it's a definite problem. Also, I'd be annoyed if someone complained about one of my posts on another of my posts that isn't the one they're getting butthurt over.
