would be nice. although if people are too damn lazy to tag beyond tag_me, i doubt people will take time to tag aspect ratio until some devote does it.

Lol. I re-tagged about 20 or so wallpapers with aspect ratios, but I'm going to hold off for more feedback before I decide whether to continue.

It's an intelligent tag, I'd definitely say go for it, although I don't think the part in brackets is necessary.

Aspect ratio is definitely an acceptable tag, for images specifically designed to be desktops, since it's a visible, relevant characteristic of the image. Seems kind of silly and pointless to use it anywhere else, though, so just keep it to wallpaper images and I'm totally cool with it.

There is already a search feature, width:xxxx height:yyyy.

No need to add useless tags.

It's a more convenient grouping. Searching that way only gives you one resolution at a time, while a tag will offer 1600x1200 and 1280x960 together.

But instead of 1.333:1_(standard), shouldn't it be 4:3_(standard)?

Yes, and that's how we've been tagging them, 4:3.
