I visit my posts on a regular basis, and the 3 pics i posted from this artist got slowly voted down over and over, probably by the same person, upon each of their visit on e6.

one person voting down multiple times, sad thing to think about someone being bored/have nothing better to do

Welcome to the internet. If we're lucky, they'll decide to drag their their drama into the comments, and the admins can then ban them.

my guess is trolling. Unfortunately it's way too easy to mass vote down things. Also instructions on how to troll votes are on encyclopedia dramatica.

I have to agree. A score doesn't affect anything here; it's just a button for people to push.

which is why i asked out of curiosity instead of making half a page worth ranting and bawwing fit over it.

In particular, i remember post #56557 : the artist was unknown when it was posted, and it has then a normal rating (usually x1.2 to x1.7 the amount of favs).
Then a few days later, i found the artist.
Now i'm coming back to it, and i can see it got downvoted like mad.

I do. It is possible to search by score, like you search by tags, and as such, sabotaging the score is comparable to tag vandalism.

Yeah, apparently someone has something against Pinkuh. The three I uploaded by her a couple weeks ago were originally in the neighborhood of 20-40 in score by the next day... Then at one point a few days ago, when I was checking back to see scores on stuff I'd uploaded, I saw they were at -20...

Interestingly enough, either someone else decided to abuse votes to try to normalize them, or a lot of people people keep finding them and voting them up, because two of 'em are back up to -6 already.

I found out that the reason LupineAssassin's images were getting voted down is because of his article on ED. It tells you to come to e621, vote down all of his pics, and then to send him hate mail. I don't see that advice for Pinkuh though, so it might be some drama on FA or something.

lol i never even heard of ED until people started posting a bunch of links to it over this lupine assassin craze. i wish i never clicked on that link....

ED is entertaining, but thats all it is, entertainment. i actually disliked the guy because of how he responded to the situation he was in

The vote system keeps the lowest common denominator on the site mindlessly occupied in meaningless vote wars. Which is perfect, really. Keeps em out of my hair.

There are actually a LOT of people out for Pinkuh. Just old drama though, Lupine's is more recent.
