Topic: Odd question about tags

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Why is there more than 3K tags from lagomorph ?
he is none the creator of the file, nor the file is dedicated to him. isn't the feature "favorite" made for this effect instead of tagging his name, because if everyone start to do that, the tags will be filled of usernames and ruin it.

And before the drama is coming, no, i believe this don't belong to a forum, but that the only place i could think of to talk about this.

Lagomorpha is the animal group rabbits and hares belong to. The tag has nothing to do with any single person.

There's a difference between the tags "lagomorph" and "artist:lagomorph", though it's difficult to specifically search for the latter since it seems the "artist:" tag prefix doesn't work in searches.

Searching the artists section for "lagomorph" doesn't show any pictures:

...are you sure there <i>is</i> an artist named lagomorph? If so, why not upload some of his/her work, and be sure to tag it with "artist:lagomorph".

That's not how tag types work. Lagomorph is one tag only and if you tried to enter artist:lagomorph, it would change the entire thing into an artist tag.

lagomorph_(artist) or lagomorph_(character) are what you should be using.

thank you for the clearing up Hat, I know myself a person called lagomorph which got me extremely confused.
After reviewing the tag, this is definitely related.
I think there was some typo at some point where his avatar was taged lagomorph, not as artist:lagomorph.

though, to correct the tags, it will take time before i can find back the drawings related to him...
